How To Wear The Chest Strap

To activate your chest strap heart rate monitor please clip the sensor device onto the chest strap, wet the sensor pads (plastic strip) and wear it firmly across your chest, just below your breastbone (sternum) and against your skin. The chest strap should feel comfortable but still tight enough that the sensor is activated and does not move during physical activity. Conversely to deactivate simply unclip the sensor device from the chest strap after each workout.

  1. Adjust the length of the chest strap to approximately match your chest size.
  2. Wrap the chest strap around your chest and attach the clips on both ends.
  3. Tighten the length of the chest strap firmly while maintaining comfort. If this is the first time wearing the heart rate monitor, you may need to increase tightness during physical activity to prevent any movement. The chest strap sensor MUST remain at sternum level for a reliable heart rate reading.
  4. If this is the first time using your heart rate monitor with your smartphone, you will need to pair the sensor transmitter wirelessly to your selected app. How you pair the sensor to each app will depend on your phone model (iPhone or Android), iOS or Android version, app version, and supported signal type (Bluetooth or ANT+).
  5. Confirm your smartphone has connected to your heart rate monitor with a stable Bluetooth signal. You can do this either by verifying the presence of the Bluetooth indicator on your smartphone, or by launching your fitness app and verifying heart rate data is being received. If your smartphone is having problems connecting then try moistening the electrode strip touching the skin (a licked thumb will work!).
  6. Launch your favourite fitness app and start your workout!
Your heart rate monitor is automatically activated by clipping the sensor onto the chest strap, fitting the chest strap, and moistening the electrodes (if required). Deactivate by unclipping the sensor from the chest strap.

Battery Life

To preserve battery life always unclip the sensor device from your chest strap after each workout. Otherwise, the sensor can remain active (ie. powered on) when attached to a damp (sweaty) chest strap.

How To Wear The Arm Band

To activate your armband heart rate monitor press and hold start button on top-side of sensor until blue LED light blinks quickly. After heart rate is detected blue LED will blink slowly. The armband should be worn snugly on the inside and top of your forearm. The armband should feel comfortable but still tight enough that it does not move during physical activity. Conversely to deactivate remove the armband and switch off the sensor after each workout to preserve battery life. The red LED will start blinking when recharging is required.

  1. Adjust the length of the armband to approximately match the top of your forearm.
  2. If this is the first time wearing the heart rate monitor, you MUST remove the protective sticker covering the LED’s on the underside of the device.
  3. Slide the armband up your forearm and press and hold the start button until blue LED starts blinking.
  4. Tighten the length of the armband firmly while maintaining comfort. The armband sensor MUST remain in place for a reliable heart rate reading.
  5. If this is the first time using your heart rate monitor with your smartphone, you will need to pair the sensor transmitter wirelessly to your selected app. How you pair the sensor to each app will depend on your phone model (iPhone or Android), iOS or Android version, app version, and supported signal type (Bluetooth or ANT+).

Your heart rate monitor is activated by wrapping the armband around your forearm, pressing and holding the start button until blue LED starts blinking. Deactivate sensor by holding the start button until blue LED switches off.

Bluetooth Signal Strength

For reliable performance the heart rate sensor requires a strong Bluetooth signal to your smartphone. We recommend keeping your smartphone in close range either in a sports arm-band, waist-belt or placed safely in front of you.
